Be Ready for the Lord (Ex. 19.1-25)

  1. Covenant Relationship – God’s mercy (vv. 1-9)
  2. Consecration – God’s holiness (vv. 10-15)
  3. Commandments – God’s voice (vv. 16-25)

His commandments are a divine gift from a gracious God who saves and divine truth from an awesome God who calls us to holiness. (Hamilton, God’s Glory, 2010)

That you may know that:

  1. God is significant (knowledge, love).
  2. God is supreme (power).
  3. God is sovereign (in control).

But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you My power and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth. (Ex. 9.16)


Raising up the Next Generation (Heb. 12.1-3)
How are we to run the race set before us?
1. Look around us (v. 1a)
2. Look within us (v. 1b)
3. Look ahead of us (vv. 2-3)
Every generation has the responsibility & privilege of reaching, raising & releasing the next generation for God’s kingdom purposes.

Opening the Door to Faith (Acts 14.1-28)

1. What is faith? (Saving faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life (resting on Christ alone & what He had done) (Eph. 2.8-9))
2. What are your objections/obstacles to faith?
3. How can we respond to the gospel? (Turning from sin; turning to Jesus)
